Outfit of the Day: Black & Brown
Okay. I’m seriously in love with mixing neutrals. It’s always my fallback. Maybe it’s from years of being told that black and brown don’t match- but I love putting the two together lately. I’ve been seeing a lot of other people rocking mostly black with brown boots, making them pop. I think it is a great look. This is one of my favorite outfits; I wore it on my actual birthday as well. These photos were actually taken in Jackson Square in New Orleans a few weeks ago. It was the best day. My favorite thing in the world is exploring New Orleans. You never, ever know what you’re going to see, who you’re going to meet, or what new food or sound you’ll discover. I’ve never been in a city with more soul than Nola.
The dress is from Torrid- but was about a size too big. It was on clearance and I loved it so I made do. I cinched it with a belt, and a molded the bust from a strait across tube dress into a sweetheart neckline (my favorite!) It helped it fit nicer, specially in the bust area. I really like the way it came out. But I have to say my new obsession is my tiger bracelet! My mom bought it for me for my birthday, and got the silver one for herself. We’re so lame. My mom is my best friend and we both have always liked lots of sparkle, animal prints, and just interesting pieces. These were perfect!
